Partez à la découverte d’Essaouira, l’ancienne Mogador, une cité blanche et bleue posée face à l’Atlantique, réputée pour son charme authentique, son atmosphère artistique et ses paysages marins. Flânez dans la Médina d’Essaouira, classée au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, admirez ses remparts face à l’océan, découvrez son port animé et profitez de sa longue plage de sable, bercée par les alizés qui lui ont valu son surnom de « ville du vent ».
Sur la route, découvrez également le pays de l’arganier, arbre emblématique du Sud-Ouest marocain, et l’huile d’argane, véritable trésor du terroir local, utilisée aussi bien en cuisine que dans les soins traditionnels.
Une journée entre océan, culture, patrimoine et traditions marocaines, à la découverte d’une des villes les plus attachantes de la côte atlantique.

Mouth of the Oued Tamri and the village of bananas

First pleasant stop of the trip on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean! Another beautiful landscape and spot for surfing, photos and rest, a small freshwater lagoon which is an important passageway for migratory birds.

Goats in the Trees (Argan trees)

The argan tree is also known as the goat tree, since goats climb these trees to eat the leaves and fruit when there's nothing left in the ground to graze on... A photo stop is planned to immortalize these good moments. In most cases, they are found by the roadside.

Women's Cooperative of Argan

A visit to the site with a charming girl who will explain the different stages in the extraction of Argan oil, cosmetic oil and edible oil, and its magical virtues. A tasting session is offered to admire the local products of this region of Morocco, such as Argan oil, Amlou (almond paste) and the different types of honey from the region.

Medina and Harbour of Essaouira

Essaouira, or Mogador, Morocco's Saint-Malo, 175 km north of Agadir, surrounded and protected by ramparts facing the ocean, a charming little Medina (old town) with white walls and blue doors and windows ...
Essaouira, a city with 300 days of wind and as much sunshine as any other Moroccan city, is a place of intense creativity, with many painters, sculptors and musicians, as well as numerous art galleries. Not to mention its prestigious Gnaoua music festival in June! The town is also famous for its cedar wood marquetry crafts.
The fishing port is smaller than Agadir's, but traditional fishing (sardine boats and small motorboats) and the shipyard add to the charm and beauty of the site.
Lunch by the ocean is magical! Afterwards, a short stroll to the port is very pleasant. Afterwards, you can take a stroll inside the medina (access forbidden to cars) and visit La Scala du port, La Scala de la ville, the Portuguese Canons, the souk...). After 2h or 2:30 of touring.

Around 4 or 5 p.m., we quietly head back to Agadir.
